If there is no water, then it’s likely that the water line has become frozen. This can happen if the freezer temperature is set too low.
To thaw a frozen water line, simply turn off the ice maker and unplug the refrigerator from the wall outlet. Then, use a hair dryer to thaw out the frozen water line. Once the water line is thawed, plug the fridge back in and turn on the ice maker. If the ice maker still isn’t working, then there may be an issue with the ice maker itself.
